Ground & Groove is a two-part experience: a workshop on how dance can be a tool for mindfulness, followed by a conscious dance journey with DJ set and live instrumental performance. Learn and dance your way into balance and joy.
Part 1: Workshop | Dance as Mindfulness
We’ll begin with a workshop exploring how dance can be a powerful tool for mindfulness. Together, we’ll look at why our bodies respond to music and how mindful dancing can support balance, presence, and emotional wellbeing. Once we have this knowledge, we’ll bring it to life - taking the insights from the mind into the body, and onto the dance floor.
Part 2: Cacao & Conscious Dance
Before dancing, we’ll share cacao served by psychologist Dr. Carmen Lugo, who will explain its many benefits for body and mind. Then we’ll transition over to the dance floor - beginning with a gentle warm-up before moving into freeform dance.
Expect a colorful DJ set by Iva intentioned to loosen you up and spark playfulness, supported by live vocals and violin performance by Leia Solié.
Think of it as a conscious party, where joy and freedom take center stage.

We recommend the Full Experience (Workshop + Dance) for the deepest journey, but the Dance Only option is perfect if you simply want to enjoy cacao, live music, and community on the dance floor.
